Summer's secret kiss

Today has been BEAUTIFUL! The sun in shining, I've got my legs out (maybe that wasn't so beautiful), then Melissa and I found a beautiful area at college with lovely summer flowers and trees and sunshine. So I took a few pictures for my secret den project. And some of Melissa dancing! I feel so positive and I really wanna get my act together and start doing all the idea's my notebook is full of!
This has actually been a really awesome week. Monday, Liam and I got given a new car on monday(God is GOOD!), so drove to Truro for Liam's interview with connexions then we looked at a house, but it was horrible! Then we had a yummy meal with Anna and Jo and watching Darling Buds of May. Then Tuesday, I worked and had a little cycle and then we had Youth group, which Liam lead really well. Then Wednesday I went to college in the day and got loads of work done then we watched Ashes to Ashes. And Yesterday was homegroup in Truro and there were only six of us, but it was really lovely! I feel very at home in the group now and I'm really enjoying it! This weekend is bank holiday and it's RUN TO THE SUN, so town is heaving. We'll probably try to stay far out of town the whole weekend, although I think Liam might like a little look at the V-Dubs.

Eurovision!

On Saturday night was the fantastic Eurovision. We decided to have a mini fancy-dress party where me and my sisters, Liam and Sara all watched it and ate macaroni cheese and swine flu cake. Delish!
For my recent art project I'm looking at secrets and secret dens. We began to make a den this evening, but we all started arguing with tiredness and though it was probably best to put it off to a time with more energy and better spirits!
Gormless! Scarlett looked brilliant in that hat and a huuuuge quilt she held on her with one belt on her waist. She had a really long trail behind her!
The Eurovision group! (India, Sara, Ruby, Me, Liam)
Scarlett's discusting (but delicious) swine flu cake!
India the delightful snowflake!
I'm not sure what I was!
Ruby with gold face!(??) She said she wouldn't dress up because she'd just gotten back from her Bronze D of E and from the sounds of it, there wasn't too much sleeping involved!

Liam and I got a new car this week which is brilliant. A cute cherry red golf called Irene. We'll christen her this weekend! And yesterday we went to look at a house. I forgot to take a camera though so will need to visit again with one as I've already forgotten what it looks like. All I can remember is the ghastly peach carpet. I said to liam., I know it seems petty but I just don't think I can work with that!

India's world.

India is an incredible painter (my sister), here are some photographs she took of me which then went on to become paintings. She'll get them back in October after being graded and I'll take some pictures for here.

These are from her first shoot. I love these pearls I got them from a bring-and-buy sale we did to raise money for the girl we sponsor. My friend Jenny bought them along, she said they belonged to a dead baby which is pretty gross but they're so lovely and the clasp is adorable! The dress is India's and the cardigan is a present from Grace.
This dress I made from an old skirt I got on the pound rail in the charity shop. The bag is one of my favourites!! I bought it in Penzance from a teeny antique store in the middle of nowhere, with a charming rabbit paw and gloves.
I'm not sure what happened to the bottom of this photograph, but to be honest, I think it's really sweet. This top is from a charit shop a few months ago and I made the flower clip.
I love this picture.
This is from India's second shoot. I was just about to go to Woking and I was exhausted and greasy and probably a little grumpy, but she got what she wanted!
Liam came to serenade us. Oh, just look at that rock and roll sneer!
I just love this photograph of him. XXXXX

chills

Its been beautiful weather all weekend. It's a shame because I've been stuck in working and tidying. I've had a mad spring clean. I got some new hangers from Liam and a rail from Sarah and it's meant I can hang up all of my dresses and shirts that were overflowing from my wardrobe. I also sorted out all my winter clothing. I've packed away lots of overcoats and thick chunky scarves and hats and my wardrobe is FULL of jumpers, I had no idea that I owned so many. It will probably rain for the rest of the week and I'll have to drag it al out again, but it's best to start off optimistic!
I've found loads of really neat things I forgot I'd had and also chucked two binbags full of atrocious mess. I ended up tidying almost the whole house, even the attic had a small clear out! It feels so good to have done it, although I should have been doing work really. I've been dreadful at working this term, I keep putting my work off and I need to realise my sketchbook is hardly going to fill itself!
I have been very strong at avoiding eBay though. As I have no job at the moment, all I am getting in is 30pounds E.M.A. a week for going to college, and I really ought to be saving it. I've only just paid off my debt to India for the beautiful floral dresses I got from Liebemarlene. So I can begin saving again. I hate being unempolyed, and depending on everyone else for everything, I feel like such a scrounger.
Liam and I are getting married in 8weeks and four days! eek!! We paid for our honeymoon last night, we're going to Malta! And most of the wedding details are set, all we have to do is find somewhere to live. We're going to move to Truro because its better for work and its not too far away from all our friends and my family. I digress, anyway, so Liam and I are trying to pick up evening work at a hotel for a couple of nights a week to bring in some more dollar. I've even had to hold back from going to the flea markets for the last few months and the cute vintage shop in Falmouth. I'm going to have my first stall in September, I thought my heart wouldn't be in it enough until then because I'm away so much this summer. That also works out easier, I don't have such a rush to sew everything, I can wait untill my course is over an begin to make things when I'm free. I made some gorgeous brooches for Graces Birthday gift, I wish that I had photographed them actually. She was so pleased with them. Here is one I've done for my new projects on SECRETS! I'm going to make heaps of them. In each one they have a secret letter or key or photograph. It's a blurry picture, whoops!
Right I've really got to get back to making some more! xxxxxx

Todays Inspiration: Vintage Valentines

It's 12:08pm and I have only just had breakfast. I have a busy day today. I've got heaps of college work to catch up on, I need to make a costume for Grace's birthday party on Saturday. It's a mad hatters tea party and I think I'm going to go as either the March hare,
or The Seven of Spades ( i liked the idea of having paint and roses!)

Either way I have a lot of work to get done! And I also need to finish Grace's birthday present! And wrap it nicely with lace and a card! So really I should be off and working! But, I think that this is an acceptable form of procrastination, as it does come in the form of these beautiful vintage valentines cards! I love the rich colours and patterns. They are truly fantastic! Anyway, I'll stop this chatting and get on with my work and I also need to tidy my room -Sarah said she had an old clothing rail in her attic which I could have, and it's just what i need to hang all my flea market clothes on- so I have lots of sorting to do!
