Italian adventure - day 1, Rome

I've been useless at blogging. My flickr pro account ran out, and we've been totally skint and MEGA busy, so haven't had time to update it and start uploading our Italy photographs.
Last night we returned home from a long (but wonderful) week away at a christian youth camp with 22 of our amazing youthies. During the 9-hour journey home O_O, I realised that it had been over two months since we'd returned from our Italian adventure. I'm sorry for the wait.. I hope it was worth it.

Our trip began in Rome, we arrived late and had a long journey with various buses and trains from the airport to our hostel. Our first day was spent walking through the town. We had delicious pizza, visited a few must see places, including the Trevi Fountain (picture 3) and the gorgeous Pantheon.
The Pantheon is possible the best man-made places I've ever visited. It was just incredible. With the open roof, the warm sunlight shining down, the real peacefulness inside. We sat together in here for almost an hour just taking in the calm and the beauty.

  1. lovely pictures Holly! I adored the pantheon too, its such a serene place to be and so calm and cool compared to the heat outside! Hope you are well xx
